Among this year’s most anticipated attractions are exciting new competitions, including the Pro Rodeo Rookie Rally scheduled for January 22 and the inaugural FWSSR College Rodeo Finals on February 4. These events are designed to spotlight new talent within the rodeo community, giving emerging athletes from across Texas the chance to shine. With the Rookie Rally featuring a $100,000 purse, it offers a thrilling opportunity for talented newcomers to make their mark on the rodeo circuit.

This year marks a significant milestone for the iconic Will Rogers Coliseum, which celebrates its 90th anniversary. As part of a $50 million renovation project, the historic venue has been modernized while maintaining its classic character. This balance between the past and the present is what makes Fort Worth so special. “We really feel like this is what makes Fort Worth authentic,” says Matt Carter, President and General Manager of the FWSSR.

According to longtime volunteer Mike Micallef, "There are thousands of volunteers at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. This event really brings Fort Worth together, and we all come together to make this stock show happen,” he reflects.
